Tumor (or cancer) registrars collect 和 code data that provides essential information to researchers, 医疗服务提供者, 和 public health officials to advance screening programs, 癌症治疗, 和预防. The 癌症登记证书 provides the instruction 和 clinical experience to develop the technical skills necessary to become a 注册肿瘤注册师 和 prepares you to sit for the Cancer Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification exam through the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA).

The 癌症登记证书 is intended for students who have completed an associate's or bachelor's degree.  学生 with a degree in Health Information Management are at an advantage as prerequisites are already met!

The Cancer Registry Management Program at MCC is accredited by the National Cancer Registrars Association, 1330 Braddock Place, Suite 520, Alex和ria, VA 22314.

Cancer Registry Management courses are taught by professionals working in the field. Classes are offered in an eight-week flexible online format 和 include an optional drop-in weekly video conference with faculty. The capstone course of the program is a clinical practicum that will give you h和s-on professional practice in cancer registry.

Semesters to complete assumes students are taking a full-time credit load of 12 credits per semester (the minimum required for federal financial aid).

Proportion of students completing in normal time is the percentage of completers who earned the credential within the specified time of their first enrollment at the College.
