To be eligible for membership in the international society of Phi Theta Kappa, a student must:
- Have accumulated 12 hours of college credits in community college courses
- Have established a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Be currently enrolled in a credit course

- What if I'm not eligible to become a member yet?
All MCC students are encouraged to participate in any chapter event, meeting, or activity. Any activity is appropriate to highlight on college applications, 奖学金申请, 或者在工作面试中. No minimum level of participation is required. 参加任何活动来胜博发app!
Additional benefits are available for students who meet the criteria for membership in PTK’s international society.
- Accepting International Society Membership
邀请: If you are eligible for society membership, you should receive an invitation through MCC student email 和 U.S. mail at the street address on file with the college. 没有收到你的邮件或信件? 联系顾问.
费: There is a one-time fee for international, state, 和 chapter dues of $80. This single payment provides a lifetime membership. 不需要额外的费用. A limited number of member dues scholarships are available for students who cannot afford this fee. 咨询顾问.

Chi Upsilon was named the Most Distinguished Chapter in the Illinois region in 2022 和 earned several awards.

Chi Upsilon students participated in the Feed My Starving Children program in April 2023.
Chapter officers 和 alumni visited several parks in McHenry County as research for the 2023 Honors in Action Project.
