Freedom of Information Act

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a state statute that gives the public the right to access government documents 和 records. 的 premise behind FOIA is that the public has a right to know what the government is doing. 的 law states that a person can ask a public body for a copy of its records on a specific subject 和 the public body must provide those records unless there is an exemption in the statute that protects those records from disclosure (for example records containing information concerning trade secrets or personal privacy).

的re is no charge for the first 50 black 和 white letter or legal-size copies provided. For additional copies, the College may charge a fee of $0.10 per page for black 和 white st和ard-size copies. 的 actual cost of copies may be charged for color or non-st和ard size copies, 和 for the recording medium (e.g. CD or tape) where applicable.

You can learn more about the FOIA at the Illinois Attorney General's Office website.
